Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is one of Nigeria’s specialized universities focused on teacher education, science, and technology.

Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE) in Gombe State is one of the most accessible federal universities in North-Eastern Nigeria. Many students and parents regularly ask about the FUKASHERE hostel accommodation fee because on-campus living is usually safer, closer to lecture halls, and significantly cheaper than private rooms in Kashere town or Gombe city. The university has kept hostel fees very reasonable for the 2025/2026 session. This article provides the current rates and step-by-step application process based on the latest information from the student affairs office and official portal as of December 2025.

Current Hostel Accommodation Fees at FUKASHERE

FUKASHERE charges between ₦18,000 and ₦35,000 per academic session for hostel accommodation. The exact amount depends on the hostel block and the type of room you choose. Here is the current breakdown:

Standard rooms (4–8 students per room, shared bathrooms and kitchen): ₦18,000–₦22,000 per session

Semi-executive rooms (2–4 students per room, better ventilation and fewer occupants): ₦25,000–₦30,000 per session

Executive rooms (2 students per room, modern fittings, air-conditioned in select blocks): ₦32,000–₦35,000 per session

These fees cover the full academic year (two semesters). Fresh students pay the same rate as returning students. The university does not split hostel payment into semesters. You must pay the full amount at once after clearance.

How to Apply for FUKASHERE Hostel Accommodation – Step by Step

The process is entirely online and strictly first-come, first-served. Spaces are limited, especially for female students in the popular blocks. Follow these steps carefully:

Log in to the student portal at portal.fukashere.edu.ng using your JAMB registration number (freshers) or matric number (returning students).

Complete your course registration and pay all compulsory school fees first. The hostel application is only activated after fee clearance.

Navigate to the “Hostel Allocation” or “Accommodation” section on the portal.

Select your preferred hostel type (standard, semi-executive, or executive).

Generate the payment invoice (RRR code) and pay the exact amount shown.

You can pay at any commercial bank branch or online via Remita using a debit card.

Upload the payment receipt to the portal immediately after the transaction.

Wait for confirmation (usually 24–72 hours). Once approved, print your hostel allocation slip from the portal.

Bed spaces are allocated strictly according to the timestamp of payment. If you delay, you may end up in a less preferred room or miss out completely. In that case, private hostels in Kashere or Gombe town charge between ₦50,000 and ₦100,000 per year.

Additional Costs to Budget For

Hostel fee is only one part of the total cost. Plan for these additional expenses:

Acceptance fee (freshers only): ₦30,000–₦40,000

Medical screening / health insurance levy: ₦3,000–₦5,000

Bedding, bucket, mattress, and personal items: ₦15,000–₦25,000

Feeding (if you cook or buy food on campus): ₦80,000–₦130,000 per session

Total first-year estimate for a fresher who secures a semi-executive hostel: ₦150,000–₦220,000 (including school fees, hostel, acceptance, and basic living expenses).

Why Students Prefer On-Campus Accommodation at FUKASHERE

The hostels are located very close to lecture theatres, the central library, and the university clinic. Security is better than most off-campus areas. There is usually a steady electricity and water supply. The university provides shuttle buses between campuses and hostels, which saves transport money every day.

If you are planning to join FUKASHERE in 2026, pay your school fees early and apply for the hostel as soon as clearance opens. Spaces disappear very quickly, especially in the executive category.

Have you paid your fees yet? Which hostel type are you hoping to get, standard or executive? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Adamawa State Polytechnic (ADSPOLY), Yola, is one of the oldest and most respected polytechnics in North-Eastern Nigeria. Established in 1979, the institution has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, industry-relevant education. For the 2026 academic session, Adamawa State Polytechnic offers 26 accredited National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across four schools. All courses are fully approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This updated list is based on the official polytechnic portal and NBTE records as of December 2025.

The polytechnic keeps fees very affordable for a state-owned institution. ND programmes cost between ₦35,000 and ₦55,000 per session, while HND programmes range from ₦45,000 to ₦65,000. Acceptance fee for fresh ND students is ₦15,000 (non-refundable).

Estate Management and Valuation

Quantity Surveying

Urban and Regional Planning

Most ND programmes run for two years (four semesters). Students who complete the ND with at least Lower Credit can proceed to HND in the same or related field. Part-time (evening) programmes are available in Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, and Public Administration for working students.

Admission Requirements for 2026

You need a minimum JAMB UTME score of 100 to be eligible for screening. Competitive courses such as Computer Science, Accountancy, and Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology usually require 140 or higher. Direct entry admission is available for ND holders with Upper Credit or Merit in related fields. Post-UTME screening is compulsory for all applicants. The polytechnic normally conducts the screening in two batches, July/August and September/October.

Why Adamawa State Polytechnic Is a Practical Choice in 2026

ADSPOLY is relatively small compared to older polytechnics, which means smaller class sizes, easier access to lecturers, and less competition for practical training slots. The polytechnic has modern workshops, computer laboratories, and active industrial training linkages with companies in Yola, Jimeta, and neighbouring states. Graduates often find employment quickly in government agencies, manufacturing firms, banks, and private businesses. The calm environment in Yola also helps students concentrate on their studies.

If you are looking for a state polytechnic that is not overcrowded, has manageable fees, and emphasises technical and vocational training, Adamawa State Polytechnic is worth serious consideration. The admission process is transparent, and spaces are still available for most programmes in 2026.

Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB) in Jigawa State is one of Nigeria’s newest federal universities of technology. Many candidates who applied for the 2025/2026 session are eagerly waiting and asking: When will FUTB start giving admission?

As of March 2026, FUTB has commenced releasing admission lists for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Current Admission Status (March 2026)

First Batch Admission List: Released in late January 2026 on JAMB CAPS.

Second Batch: Released in mid-February 2026.

Third Batch / Supplementary List: Currently ongoing and expected to continue through March and April 2026.

Final JAMB Deadline: All admissions must be completed by 28 February 2026, though some extensions are sometimes granted.

FUTB is releasing batches gradually. Courses with higher competition (such as Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering) usually appear in the earlier batches, while less competitive programmes come out later.

What You Should Do Now

Check your JAMB CAPS regularly (at least twice daily).

Ensure your O’Level results are uploaded and verified on JAMB CAPS.

Monitor your email and SMS for notifications from FUTB.

If your status shows “Not Admitted” but you meet the cut-off, remain hopeful — supplementary lists are still being released.

If your preferred course is not offered, you may change to another available programme before the JAMB change window closes.

School Fees & Acceptance Fee

Once admitted, you are required to pay the acceptance fee quickly to secure your admission:

Acceptance Fee (Freshers): ₦30,000 – ₦40,000 (non-refundable)

School Fees (Indigenes): ₦60,000 – ₦95,000 per session

School Fees (Non-Indigenes): ₦80,000 – ₦130,000 per session

Hostel accommodation is separate and ranges from ₦15,000 to ₦35,000 per session.

Final Advice

Keep checking your JAMB CAPS portal every day, especially in the evenings when new lists are often uploaded. FUTB is still a young university, so the admission process may take a bit longer than older institutions.

Have you checked your admission status today? Which course did you apply for? Drop your update in the comments.

Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFEDPOLY), Kazaure, Jigawa State, is one of the most respected federal polytechnics in Northern Nigeria. Established in 1991, the institution has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, industry-relevant training through National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

For the 2026 academic session, Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic offers 24 accredited courses across four schools. All programmes are fully approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This updated list is based on the official polytechnic portal and NBTE records as of December 2025.

The polytechnic keeps fees very affordable for a federal institution. ND programmes cost between ₦35,000 and ₦55,000 per session, while HND programmes range from ₦45,000 to ₦65,000. Acceptance fee for fresh ND students is ₦15,000 (non-refundable). HAFEDPOLY also provides bursaries and work-study placements for students who demonstrate financial need or good academic performance. The 2026 session continues to emphasise hands-on training in engineering, sciences, and management fields.

Here is the complete list of accredited courses offered at Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic for 2026, organised by school.

School of Business and Management Studies

Accountancy
Banking and Finance
Business Administration and Management
Public Administration
Office Technology and Management

School of Engineering Technology

Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
Civil Engineering Technology
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology
Mechanical Engineering Technology
Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology

School of Applied Sciences and Technology

Computer Science
Science Laboratory Technology
Statistics
Hospitality Management
Leisure and Tourism Management
Nutrition and Dietetics
Fashion Design and Clothing Technology

School of Environmental Studies

Architectural Technology
Building Technology

You must have five O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. Direct entry admission is available for ND holders with Upper Credit or Merit in related fields. Post-UTME screening is compulsory for all applicants. The polytechnic normally conducts the screening in two batches, July/August and September/October.

Why Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic Is a Practical Choice in 2026

HAFEDPOLY is still relatively small compared to older polytechnics, which means smaller class sizes, easier access to lecturers, and less competition for practical training slots. The polytechnic has modern workshops, computer laboratories, and active industrial training linkages with companies in Kano, Jigawa, and Kaduna. Graduates often find employment quickly in government agencies, manufacturing firms, banks, and private businesses. The calm environment in Kazaure also helps students concentrate on their studies.

If you are looking for a federal polytechnic that is not overcrowded, has manageable fees, and emphasises technical and vocational training, Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic is worth serious consideration. The admission process is transparent, and spaces are still available for most programmes in 2026

University of Africa Toru-Orua (UAT) in Bayelsa State is one of Nigeria’s newest federal universities, known for its focus on agriculture, environmental sciences, management, and social sciences. Many students and parents frequently ask about the UAT hostel accommodation fee because on-campus living is usually safer, closer to lecture halls, and significantly cheaper than private rooms in Toru-Orua or Yenagoa. The university has kept hostel fees very reasonable for the 2025/2026 session. This article provides the current rates and step-by-step application process based on the latest information from the student affairs office and official portal as of December 2025.

Current Hostel Accommodation Fees at UAT

UAT charges between ₦18,000 and ₦35,000 per academic session for hostel accommodation.

How to Apply for UAT Hostel Accommodation – Step by Step

The process is entirely online and strictly first-come, first-served. Spaces are limited, especially for female students in the popular blocks. Follow these steps carefully:

Log in to the student portal at portal.uat.edu.ng using your JAMB registration number (freshers) or matric number (returning students).

Complete your course registration and pay all compulsory school fees first. Hostel application is only activated after fee clearance.

In that case, private hostels in Toru-Orua or Yenagoa charge between ₦50,000 and ₦100,000 per year.

Additional Costs to Budget For

Hostel fee is only one part of the total cost. Plan for these additional expenses:

Acceptance fee (freshers only): ₦30,000–₦40,000

Medical screening / health insurance levy: ₦3,000–₦5,000

Bedding, bucket, mattress, and personal items: ₦15,000–₦25,000

Feeding (if you cook or buy food on campus): ₦80,000–₦130,000 per session

Total first-year estimate for a fresher who secures a semi-executive hostel: ₦150,000–₦220,000 (including school fees, hostel, acceptance, and basic living expenses).

Why Students Prefer On-Campus Accommodation at UAT

The hostels are located very close to lecture theatres, the central library, and the university clinic. Security is better than most off-campus areas. There is usually steady electricity and water supply. The university provides shuttle buses between campuses and hostels, which saves transport money every day.

If you are planning to join UAT in 2026, pay your school fees early and apply for the hostel as soon as clearance opens. Spaces disappear very quickly, especially in the executive category.

Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, is one of the most affordable state universities in Northern Nigeria. Many prospective students and parents regularly search for the latest Adamawa State University school fees to plan their budget effectively. This article provides the current fee structure for the 2025/2026 academic session based on official announcements from the university bursary and student portal as of December 2025.

ADSU charges between ₦45,000 and ₦75,000 per session for most undergraduate programmes. The exact amount depends on your level of study, faculty, and whether you are an indigene of Adamawa State. These fees cover tuition, registration, library access, medical services, and other essential university charges. The university has not introduced any major increase for 2025/2026, which keeps it among the more budget-friendly state options in the region.

Fee Breakdown for 2025/2026

Fresh students (100 Level) pay slightly higher amounts due to the one-time acceptance fee. Returning students (200 Level and above) pay lower rates.

Category

Indigenes (Adamawa State)

Non-Indigenes

Notes

New Students (100 Level)

₦45,000 – ₦60,000

₦55,000 – ₦75,000

Includes acceptance fee of ₦10,000–₦20,000

Returning Students

₦40,000 – ₦55,000

₦50,000 – ₦65,000

No acceptance fee

Postgraduate (M.Sc./PhD)

₦80,000 – ₦120,000

₦90,000 – ₦140,000

Per session; varies by programme

The highest fees usually apply to programmes with laboratory or field components, such as Biochemistry, Computer Science, and Agricultural Science. Humanities and social science courses fall on the lower end.

Additional Costs to Budget For

Hostel accommodation is optional but very popular because the university campus is relatively remote.

On-campus hostel fee: ₦15,000 – ₦30,000 per session (shared rooms, first-come first-served).

Acceptance fee (freshers only): ₦10,000 – ₦20,000 (non-refundable).

Medical screening / health insurance levy: ₦3,000 – ₦5,000.

Departmental dues and faculty charges: ₦5,000 – ₦15,000 per session.

ID card, library, and ICT levy: ₦2,000 – ₦5,000.

A fresh indigene student studying Biology can expect a total first-year cost of around ₦80,000 – ₦110,000 (including hostel and acceptance). Non-indigenes will usually spend ₦100,000 – ₦130,000 for the same programme. Living costs in Mubi are modest compared to major cities, so monthly upkeep is typically ₦40,000 – ₦70,000.

How to Pay ADSU School Fees

The university uses a fully online payment system through Remita. Follow these steps:

Visit the student portal at portal.adsu.edu.ng and log in with your JAMB registration number (freshers) or matric number (returning students).

Generate your invoice under the “Pay Fees” section. This produces a unique RRR code.

Pay the exact amount at any commercial bank branch (UBA, Zenith, GTBank, etc.) or online via Remita using a debit card.

Upload the payment receipt to the portal for verification (usually approved within 24–48 hours).

Collect your clearance stamp from the bursary office to complete registration.

Installment payments are allowed in some cases (50% first semester, with approval from the bursar). Late registration attracts a penalty of ₦5,000 – ₦10,000.

Why ADSU Fees Offer Good Value

At ₦45,000 – ₦75,000 per session, ADSU provides excellent value for students interested in agriculture, sciences, management, and humanities. The university has modern laboratories, functional farms, and strong industry linkages with agricultural agencies in the North-East. Graduates often secure employment quickly in government extension services, research institutes, and agribusiness firms.

If you are planning to join ADSU in 2026, pay your fees early to avoid penalties and secure a hostel space. The university is still growing, so early applicants have better chances of getting preferred courses and accommodation.

Adamawa State Polytechnic (ADSPOLY), Yola, is one of the most established polytechnics in North-Eastern Nigeria. Founded in 1979 as a college of technology and upgraded to polytechnic status in 1991, ADSPOLY focuses on practical, technical, and vocational education that meets the needs of industries in Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, and beyond. For the 2026 academic session, the polytechnic offers 26 accredited National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across four schools. All courses are fully approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This updated list is based on the official ADSPOLY portal and NBTE records as of December 2025.

The polytechnic maintains very affordable fees for a state-owned institution. ND programmes cost between ₦35,000 and ₦55,000 per session, while HND programmes range from ₦45,000 to ₦65,000. Acceptance fee for fresh ND students is ₦15,000 (non-refundable).
